A chain stretches with use and wears the sprockets with it. Replaced in time, a chain alone is enough; too late, the whole drivetrain has to go. We measure before advising.

- Chain wear measured with a gauge
- Chain, cassette or freewheel replaced as needed
- Gears adjusted, test ride under load
